Perfect afternoon with G. Took a short trip to Rockford, IL for this shoot in Anderson Japanese Gardens. Perfect backdrop with waterfalls, nature and the biggest (pet-like) fish ever.
Once upon a time, many many years ago, I worked at an art gallery in River North. After a year or so, it was time for me to move on, so I hired this girl, Kim Vargo of Yellow Brick Home. And while training this super organized creative lady, we became fast dear friends. Soon, she too decided it was time to move on and hired, this girl, Shannon Hillenmeyer (see pics below). Through Kim, I met Shannon. And the rest is history as they say. We all became life long friends celebrating our friendship through what we call are, gallery girl nights. Those special nights include drinks, eats, and lots of catching up with never enough time to actually get all the catching up in. And last night we did just that and I’m left with more questions than ever! But I know the next time we hang it will be yet again, another night as if no time has past. Below are some pics from a recent shoot with Shannon, my yogi amazing friend, with her family…
Smiley newborn Eleanor and big sister, Peyton, photographed together in the best way.
So happy I met this family 4 years ago! My favorite part of this shoot, was not only meeting Jude for the first time but big brother Luke running to the front door to give me a big welcoming hug! And then quickly, he proudly grabbed my hand to give me a walking tour of their newish home.
It’s an easy, carefree shoot with 30 minutes of time and fun. You pick the time and the date. The sessions include 10 hi-res files of your choice with the option to purchase the full gallery or just a few extra. Pricing begins at $250.

This newborn, with his eyes wide open for most of the shoot, was as calm as can be. His brothers were pumped up (the toddler boy kind of way) for the photo session…which honestly, is my favorite kind of energy! I think baby N enjoyed it too.
